Day 1: Arrival in Catania
Reception at the airport by our asistance and drive to the booked hotel in room Etna Area During the welcome drink, before dinner, our tour guide will give you all the necessary information about the trip.
Day 2: Excursion Syracuse.
Drive to Syracuse, After a short coffee break we head to the archaeological area of the Neapolis, we admire the quarries, the Greek theater, the sacrificial altar of Hieron and the Roman amphitheater. In Ortigia, the old town of Syracuse from the 14th century. B.C. visit the Arethusa Spring, the Cathedral and the Temple of Apollo. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Etna and Taormina
You drive through lemon and orange plantations with unique landscape panoramas to the largest active volcano in Europe, the Etna. The journey takes you to the "Silvestri crater" at about 2,000 m. Numerous are the activities of your hotel which you can enjoy today to the full extent. The hotel offers a wide range of sports and leisure facilities as well as a wellness center (for a fee) with a range of relaxing and therapeutic spa facilities including massages and beauty treatments.
Day 5: Day at leisure
or Optional Excursion Ragusa - Modica - Noto.
Nestled in a splendid land with dry stone walls and carob trees "Kharruba", which is a unique area in the surroundings of Modica and Ragusa, we find the highlights of Sicilian Baroque, first we drive to Ragusa. Here we take a walk through the old town streets of Ragusa Ibla, We see, the impressive San Giorgio Church, a masterpiece by Rosario Gagliardi. On the way back we visit Modica, birthplace of the Nobel Prize winner (1959) Salvatore Quasimodo. The unique location of this city, the stacked houses and churches make Modica one of the most important sights in South-Eastern Sicily. Another special feature of the environment is the chocolate production, numerous are the mostly small businesses that process the noble cocoa. A taste of fine chocolate in its many variants is highly recommended.
Finally, we walk through the Corso of Noto and see the Palazzo Ducezio, the Duomo, the small theater Vittorio Emanuele, the Campanile of the San Carlo church and much more. Dinner and overnight
